When you lift the
throttle and hear your turbo make a fluttering sound that is off throttle
surge. This is caused when the turbo is spooled up but the engine suddenly
slows down – this causes stress and increased wear on the thust bearing of
the turbocharger and over time will result in turbocharger failure. BD’s
Turbo Guard blow-off valve (BOV) protects your stock or aftermarket turbo
from surging by quickly venting this built up pressure. This advanced
TurboGuard kit features a controller with custom settings allowing you to
dial in operation on your vehicle. Kit comes with either aluminum or steel
flange adapters.
